Gabaldonians celebrate the 119thPhilippines Independence and town’s 67th Founding Anniversary.

            The two celebrations in one event is like hitting two birds in one stone for the Gabaldonians attended by all BarangayOfficials and Employees, the whole DepEd force (GVAHS, LNHS, DepEd Gabaldon District), NEUST-Gabaldon Campus, Philippine National Police, Senior Citizens, World War II Veterans and Local Government Unit (Officials and Employees).

            The program started at 8:00 in the morning and it always starts with a flag raising ceremony at the lawn of the Municipal Building where the flag pole stands. The Talumpating Pangwatawat was led by Mrs. May Ramires-Petines, followed by the singing of National Anthem. Pagpupugay sa Watawat was delivered by Mr. Rogelio Adriano, Jr. and the pledge to the Flag was led by SPO1 Ronan P. Garcia.After the Flag raising all attendees marchedto offer flowers to the shrine of Dr. Jose P. Rizal and the Bantayog ng Kagitingan, it is the way people of Gabaldon used to show respect and gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives in achieving our independence.Afterwards a short program followed at the Municipal Gymnasium.

            It started with a prayer that led by Mr. Romeo P. Garcia, Jr., Parish Pastoral Council President of Saint Paul the Apostle Parish. Our Vice Mayor, Atty. Jobby P. Ematacarried out the welcome address.A message from Mrs. Brigida T. Pili, Provincial Director of the Department of Trade and Industry followed to announce some programs of the agency. Mr. Mark Jay M. Gedo Cruz, a former Sangguniang Kabataan Federation President, introducedthis year’s Guest Speakerno other than, Atty. Mylene Muncal-Aquino. Closing remarks was delivered by our Municipal Mayor, Hon. Rolando S. Bue.TheMasters Of Ceremonies in this year’s event were Mr. John Emmanuel N. Cabig and Mrs. Jinky Alona A. Prado, Teachers from DepEd, Gabaldon District.In between the messages, intermission number were performed by different schools (NEUST-GC, GVAHS, DepEd Elementary).

            The occasion was associated with the Diskwento Caravan of the Department of Trade and Industry where the people can buy low-priced products such as groceries, shoes, canned goods, laundry supplies, etc. The caravan was participated by Puregold, Marikina Group of Shoe makers, ACS, Mekeni, K-Servico Apliances and others.
